The Yarraman Estate

Yarraman Estate is an Australian winery with a distinguished history and an international reputation for outstanding quality wines. Located in Australia’s oldest wine growing region, the Upper Hunter Valley, the region boasts a history of viticulture and wine making dating back to 1825. The Estate vineyard was originally established as the famous Penfolds Dalwood Estate in 1958 by the founder of Grange, Max Schubert, and McGuigan winemaking patriarch, Perc McGuigan.

In June 2007, China became the number 1 destination in Asia for Australian bottled wine exports totalling 6.9 million litres, valued at AUD$49 million. Figures show the Chinese import sector for international wines is growing 6.5 times faster than the rest of the world.

The synergy created between Yarraman Estate and ADSL allows for huge growth in the future. Yarraman Estate with its winemaking capabilities can guarantee quality and supply of entry level, mid range and super premium high level wines that are required by the growing Chinese market. ADSL plans to sell 1.5 million cases by 2012 of which 30% will be made up of Australian wines. Yarraman will provide both its own products to ADSL as well as manage and source additional labels and suppliers from both Australia, New Zealand, and other countries thereby allowing The ADSL China management to concentrate on its distribtution network and sales in the China market.
